A visitor for Brian: a school gate with GuestPass
1:39
At a day school, the guard records a visitor for a student with the teacher and the admission number; the teacher and the parent each get an SMS, and the dashboard and record answer parents later.

Esther is deputy principal at Riverbend Academy, a day school of twelve hundred students. Parents, suppliers and relatives arrive all day, and the teachers they come to see are rarely in one place.
At twenty to eleven, Samuel Otieno comes to see his nephew Brian’s class teacher. The guard picks Mr Kamau from the list, then types Brian’s admission number. The phone finds Brian in Form 2B, and shows that his mother will get an SMS.
Mr Kamau is teaching in Lab 2 when his phone buzzes: the visitor, the student and the reason.
Across town, Brian’s mother Grace reads her own message: who came, to see which child, with which teacher, and when.
Esther imported the class lists, with each parent’s number, once. On the dashboard, every office and teacher is a card: visitors today, still in, and gone.
Before the buses leave, every visitor signs out at the gate, by ID number or exit code, and the count of who is still inside reaches zero.
When a parent asks who came to see their child, Esther asks GuestPass in plain words, and has the answer before the call ends.
